Fixing Club Head or Shaft Rattles

If you hear a rattles in your club head or shaft – this can be an annoyance that no golfer wants to deal with on the course. We can remove the rattle in a variety of ways depending upon the cause. These are internal issues.

Graphite Shafts

A rattle in the shaft is typically caused by a broken chip of epoxy. It can also be caused by loose material that may have been added for swing weight.

Steel Shafts

A rattle in the shaft is typically caused by a broken chip of epoxy or rust. It can also be caused by loose material that may have been added for swing weight.

Head Rattles

Largely caused by a metal flake dislodging from the head frame or titanium face. They can also be caused by water in the club head.

Fixing the Issue

Consequently, these problems do not affect club performance. However, it is a mental irritation so it is best to fix the issue. We use several proven techniques to fix rattles in both shafts and club heads depending upon the nature of the problem.
